Home Theater

Are you new to home theater and want to know more about how you could build your own home theater?  Want to know which products you should get for a good home theater? Then check out my introduction to home theater. Coming soon, I'll talk about which products I think would be worth buying and if you're not sure what DVD, Dolby Digital, HDTV, or other similar words mean, I'll have a section  about that, too. All of the products I will recommend will mostly come from the  Crutchfield web site so you can check out which products I recommend and if you want, you can even buy them from there. Now if you already have a home theater system setup and think it's rocking, are you using high quality cables such as  Monster Cable or is your TV and surround sound receiver properly set up? If you're using the cables that came with your equipment or you bought generic cables from Wal-Mart or somewhere like that, you're missing out on what your equipment can really do. You may have noticed that when you go to a friends house that the picture of there TV looks different from yours. Their's may be brighter than yours, have more color, the tint may be different and you probably think that yours is the correct setup. Tell you what, it would be almost impossible to properly set up the picture of a television without the proper NTSC patterns. Got that contrast cranked? Turn it way down, not only are you destroying picture quality but you're burning out the bulb in your television. Also, one important thing that often gets overlooked when building a home theater, the room. I'll have more information on properly setting up your TV as soon as I can. I'll tell you on where you can get these NTSC patterns and if you have any questions on how to use it, I'll try to get a bulletin board set up.
